04/03/2020: Open Science Meetup on Preprints
Preprints – Opportunities & Pitfalls
Preprints are on the rise in many research areas and over the last few years several new archives have been established, e.g. for biology, psychology and archaeology. The term itself also may not always be clear, and similar but slightly different approaches exist in other research areas (e.g. working paper).
In this meeting will look into motivations for preprint sharing as well as possible challenges and open issues. Not so easy to figure out for authors is which journals actually allow the posting of preprints and which restrictions may apply (e.g. due to lack of clear information on journal websites).
Join in for the discussion, this area is emerging fast and there is a lot to learn from different perspectives and experiences.
