23/06/2020: HackyHour on static websites
The next Hacky Hour will take place on June 23 at 6 pm.
The meeting will take place at BigBlueButton.
Although there are many platforms to put personal content online, a personal website / blog, still has many benefits: maintain control and ownership of the content, modify at ones will, not depend on third-parties, etc.
Many services allow hosting of static websites for free (e.g GitHub pages, GitLab pages, Netlify, etc) and similarly, there are a number of tools to assist in building them.
This workshop will go through the process of creating a static website from scratch, using GitHub, Netlify, and Netlify CMS. A so created website would serve as personal page and a blog.
More information can be found in the pad of the session.
