FDM@Campus: Event information
The Göttingen eResearch Alliance will organize a joint conference “FDM@Campus” in Göttingen from September 23-25, 2024. You can find the event registration page here.
The central topic of the event will revolve around the question:
How can we combine and use the different spheres of RDM developments efficiently, in order to offer the best RDM services to researchers on site?
If you are interested in participating, this page will provide you with some more information on the event.
Update 2024-09-09:
Registration for participation will be open until 2024-09-16 10am.
Update 2024-09-12:
The program schedule is published and can be viewed at
https://events.gwdg.de/event/886/timetable/#all.detailed
There will mainly be three types of contributions for the event: talks/presentations (10-12 minutes), demos/workshops (30-120 minutes), and posters. Talks and contributions should be held in German, if possible.
Below you can find the pre-final schedule of the thematic blocks for the conference. We aim to focus on topic-related sessions that bring together different groups (NFDI, state initiatives, INF projects, researchers) to foster exchange.
After opening the conference with a welcome address and a keynote speech on September 23rd, the first block of the afternoon “Players, Cooperations, and Networks in RDM” provides an opportunity to get to know the activities of the various initiatives, consortia, networks, or projects on the topic of FDM@Campus. Talks should address the question: Where is there already exchange between different groups or concrete measures to implement the results or offerings of these groups at research institutions?
After these presentations, we will set up topic tables to be dynamically occupied to enable discussion amongst the participants on various topics, partly predetermined, partly announced in sessions, or brought up spontaneously. In the evening, we will hold a reception to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Göttingen eResearch Alliance.
On September 24th, we plan to start with 2 shorter thematic plenary blocks on “FDM competencies” and “Models for Operation and Consolidation” . These will be followed by a pitch session to announce the hands-on session topics as well as the poster session in the afternoon. We will then move on to a World Café round to discuss selected topics in groups, before having a joint lunch break.
The 6 hands-on sessions in the afternoon will partially be held in parallel. They will focus on specific services or solutions and highlight interactive experience for the participants. The poster session will begin in parallel to these sessions and continue afterwards.
On September 25th, the focus in the morning will be on the challenges of RDM in research collaborations. After this session we will hear about and discuss additional, more specific topics. In the afternoon, we would like to give existing initiatives and consortia the opportunity to hold their own meetings on-site.
Throughout the duration of the conference, we plan to reserve a room for topic tables where interested parties can exchange ideas on questions that are partly predetermined, partly announced in sessions, or brought up spontaneously.
Registration for the event is still possible until 2024-09-16 10am at this link. Please note that we are charging a registration fee of €115,- .
